Straight answers
What we don't do (and who can help)
Brighton Installations doesn't do gas work, certified electrical work, structural work, roofing, plastering, or full painting and decorating. For gas and certified electrics, we have access to Gas Safe engineers and registered electricians who can help. We'd rather tell you upfront than waste your time, so if your job isn't a fit, we'll say so straight away.
Not us, but we can help arrange it
- Gas work. Hobs, cookers, boilers and gas pipework must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer. We have access to engineers who can help.
- Certified electrical work. New circuits, replacing a consumer unit, and changes to circuits around a bath or shower must be done by a registered electrician or signed off by building control. We have access to registered electricians who can help.
Not us
- Structural work. Knocking through walls, or anything that needs steels or a structural engineer.
- Roofing.
- Plastering. We can fill holes and cracks before decorating, but skimming walls and ceilings is a job for a plasterer.
- Full painting and decorating. We prime and paint what we build and do small painting jobs, but we don't decorate whole rooms or houses.
- Stone or quartz worktops. A specialist job: they're templated and fitted by the supplier or a specialist fitter. We fit laminate and solid wood worktops.
- Jobs outside our area. We cover Peacehaven and about 10 miles around. See areas.
What we're best at
Kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms, fitted wardrobes and alcove units, and lists of jobs around the house.
